I’ve been without my favorite flats for several weeks now, and am so happy to have them home again! I’ve worn them into a desperate need of repair, so I sent them off to be cobbled using a new mail service, Cobbler Concierge (no sponsorship…I was just curious). I’ll have a before and after post about it soon!
Also, here’s another piece from my vintage neckwear collection I mentioned before. I find these light scarf-like ties incredibly beautiful, and wearing them makes me so happy. Unfortunately, they are so light and airy, they tend to fly around in the breeze when just draped over a shirt, so I really like wearing them with a blazer to anchor them in place (and some fashion tape if the breeze is especially aggressive). I’m looking forward to the promise of fall’s plentiful blazer weather so I can get some more wear out of these little guys without them flopping around all over the place.

I have that exact scarf you are wearing. I actually have like a dozen or so of these scarfs. Back in the early 1990’s women wore these to work tied in a bow with a shirt. It was a women’s version of a men’s tie. I have them sitting in a box in the garage for the last 25 years. What a great way to wear them now.
Velvet loafers! Yes!
I like how the neck tie adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look! Cute loafers too!
