Grey is My New Black

A hard lesson for me to learn has been that the color black is just too stark for my skin tone. Put it too close to my face and it washes me out. But grey on the other hand, is my favorite neutral. I love it so much in fact, that it’s one of my wedding colors. =)

So when three things I love…grey, stripes, and the Banana Republic non-iron shirt…converged into one item, I was ridiculously, stupidly, excited for this shirt to arrive in the mail. Some recent Banana Republic shirts have been coming in a different sizing spectrum of only regular 0 – 16 (no 00 or petite/tall sizes), of which this shirt is one. Since I normally purchase petites, it makes for a roomier fit which is nice on one hand (I’ve been enjoying a more casual, oversized fit as of late), and unfortunate on another (petite proportions are just better on me), but I’ve found them completely workable and it hasn’t stopped me from snatching them up (like this one). So if you like a shirt and it comes in that weird sizing spectrum, don’t let it scare you from giving it a try anyway.

Also, this is my rebellion against the current California heat wave.

I love gray. I love black. I think both gray and black can work of paler skin. I love gray on my pasty white skin, but I also LOVE the contract of black against it.

I can’t wait to see the wedding details! <3

Once you uncover the power of self-acceptance and cease caring what other individuals think your life will improve, you will really feel higher,
and you should have the time to take care of all of the things that
    interest you.
