I took a quick whirlwind of a trip to New York for the first part of fashion week, mainly because I got the amazing opportunity to attend the show of my favorite designer, Marissa Webb. Since I was traveling alone, I didn’t have anyone to take photos, so this is a “what I wore” post after the fact.

For the Marissa Webb Spring 2015 show, I wore one of her designs layered under a light weight windowpane print cardigan, paired with leather shorts. I love this blouse, but unfortunately it didn’t come out very well after taking it to the tailor, so it looks better layered than it does worn on it’s own. One of the pitfalls of needing to get items tailored. Oh well.

These leather shorts, however, majorly saved the day for my entire trip! It was pretty hot and muggy, which made wearing any kind of pants unappealing. These shorts were nice and cool, and just dressy enough to wear to every event I went to. They were hands down, the most worn item in my suitcase!
