A lot of commenters mentioned they liked my yellow shoes from this post last week, so I thought it would be fun to give them their 15 minutes of fame. Yellow shoes…get ready for your close up!

These are Cole Haan Genevieve pumps, in size 5. I fell in love with these the first time I saw them online last year, but by the time I even knew they existed, they had already sold out in my size. =(
Then, my lovely boyfriend went on a boy’s trip to Vegas, and the awesome guy he is, actually took the time to check the Cole Haan boutique to see if they had my shoes. Low and behold, they had my yellow shoes in size 5. Granted, he then put them on the highest shelf in the house so I could “see but not touch” them until my birthday, so he’s not a complete angel.
And here is an outfit I’ll be wearing them with this summer. Are you tired of seeing the LOFT ruffle cardigan yet?

I'm a black type of shoe wearer but I love mustard yellow handbags, shirts, dresses, and all! My mom used to tell me never to wear yellow because it would make me look more yellow hence look like I have jaundice but when I tried it, out of curiosity, I fell in love!
OMG! Can you please clone your BF and send him to me??? That is so sweet that he remembered what shoes you liked and bought them for you! He's a keeper for sure :)
They're very cute btw! I am a red and blue shoe fan, but I am starting to think I need a yellow pair too :)
You look great! I love the color combinations. Also, very sweet boyfriend.
I love these shoes, very fun. My favorite shoe color is these lime green suede shoes with a fun bow from Boden. They make everything pop a little bit more.
I love these shoes, I actually didn't notice them in previous posts (oops).
I still love the LOFT ruffle cardigan on you, I don't know if I'll ever get sick of seeing them in your posts.
My favorite pair of funky-colored shoes…that's hard. I think it's this pair of beautiful peach pink pumps that I got from Amazon.
I need to be more adventurous when it comes to shoe colors..I usually stick with black/brown or neutral colors for work
I like the pairing of blue hues w/mustard yellow. completely works!
D – Fashion rules are meant to be broken! Even if a color looks bad next to your face (makes you look washed out, jaundice, red, etc.) you can usually wear it as an accessory.
Erin – LOL. It's not too hard…I obsess over something and talk over and over and over about how sad I am I can't find it in yellow in a size 5..blah blah blah. He does it really to shut me up. =) Red shoes are my other weakness.
Jennifer – Thanks! He is a sweetie. =)
Alicia – Lime green! How adventurous of you!
Elle – Ohh…sounds pretty!
simplyvonne – You need some fun weekend shoes! It's such a good feeling when your shoes are bright and sunny. =)
Wow those are even cuter close up!
I love coloured shoes, but I only have pink and red in "fun" colours.
Sometimes they are all you need to liven an outfit up :)
I don't think my bf can distinguish a straw yellow pump vs. another yellow pump. That is so cute he got them for you! Lol, even when he had them out of reach.
The outfit is so adorable! No, not tired of the ruffle cardigan but teeming with lust to go out and get one myself!
omg! Another post so soon? I didn't even think to check today haha. I love these woven shoes and you know I love the color mustard. It unexpectedly matches everything. My poor mustard cardigan gets so much wear it's gonna be threadbare soon…
Those woven shoes look awesome up close! I usually think that woven patterns make the shoe look more casual, but it's actually dressy. My go to shoe color is red, but I need to branch out to other colors. =)
aww, that's so sweet of him. and woah, i've never seen anything like this before! this is so cute. i want one now. i love that's it's woven:D
i am now your newest follower. come and check out my blog. and maybe follow me too? thank you!

Gorgeous summer outfit!
I've got way too many shoes but I think they're all nude, soft gold, brown and black. I suppose I keep my footwear fairly neutral but I've got gorgeous gold flip flops and wedges for summer. Now handbags are another story…love my purple bag! :)
I have a similar pair of colin stuart shoes I ordered from VS last summer in light pink. I love the weave detail(and the fact that the 5 fit me. The only real difference is that mine are sling back, pink all over, and it looks like they are a bit higher :) I'd order another pair in a second if they still made them I wear them at least once a week.
I used to love red shoes but lately I haven't been feeling the combination-the two pairs i have are pretty flashy. I also have a pair of emerald green sandals with a little beading that I love, but sadly have nothing to wear them with :(
Your bf is such a sweetie! That's so cute that he was so thoughtful. Love your outfit and I think the mustard is a nice choice because they will definitely go with a ton of things.
The first pair of colored shoes I bought were a pair of yellow Sam Edelman flats and I was pretty nervous about actually wearing them. Each time I'd put an outfit together and throw on the flats, I'd chicken out and not go through with wearing them. However, once I got over that initial scare, they are a fun go-to pair for a bunch of outfits now! I recently bought a pair of pink suede pumps from BCBG, but haven't worn those yet. I'm probably going to go through another cycle of chickening out before I take the plunge!
I really wish Cole Haan shoes fit my feet. I've tried on numerous pairs but my feet are simply too wide.
The woven design and the mustard yellow color is beautiful! I probably would have chosen a "safe" color like black if I were to buy your pumps. In fact, I did buy a black top & black pumps on my shopping trip yesterday…
My favorite color is bright blue (somewhere around turquoise/teal, but without the green tint), but I have to admit I don't own many clothing items in that color. I wear jeans often and it tends to clash.
I need to learn to venture out of my comfort zone!
they are adorable, and i also love that chair you are posing next to! your bf is definitely a keeper :)
i love funky shoes, i have a navy pump with pink poka dots :)
I remember that skirt! :) Wish I had given it another chance because right out of the box it was wrinkly and just didn't hang right on me so I quickly returned it, but it looks so cute on you! I love those shoes too… mustard yellow is one of those colors I wish I was cool enough to wear and manage to look coordinated :P
If I had to pick one color, that would be red. I love red shoes. I have one pair of red boots and I wear them to death during winter. Your shoes are super cute. They are so different and chic
Curious…have you tried that outfit with the gray tank or tee tucked into your floral skirt?
Red- duh!!
Your bf needs to teach my hubby about wishes and wants :) I keep telling hubby I want a Chanel purse, but I know he won't go out and get me one (granted it is $$$$ so I understand) but you are a lucky girl! I don't really have colored shoes, I still to lots of neutrals, but I do have a tortoise print SW pair I love.
Love the yellow!! :) I have a pair of snake-skin yellow BCBGirls Famous sandal which are more going-out than everyday.
YAY pumps!
Love the yellow! :) I love red shoes :p
love.blue – Interesting, my feet run narrow and I have good luck with Cole Haan, The must just run narrow in general.
PetiteXXS – The skirt looked waaay better after a steaming, but is a tad big in the waist. I just wear it low on my hips until I work up the energy to take it to the tailor. I'm sure you can put mustard yellow together in an outfit. It's another one of those colors that actually goes with a lot. You'd be surprised.
PAG – I have tried tucking into this skirt, but it doesn't sit high enough on my waist to look good that way. The pleats come out at a weird spot. If I were to get the waist taken in on this skirt, I probably could, but I'm feeling lazy about it, so it might not happen.
Nukem – Ohhh…Chanel…yum! I will send happy Chanel buying spree vibes your husband's way….hhhmmmmmm….
those shoes are so cute! ever since I saw your post, I can't stop thinking of them. lol and then i found some on anthropologie (Waving Grains Pumps on http://www.anthropologie.com) that is sort of similar….but not as sleek as yours.
Those are adorable! :)
I always stick to black as a safe color for my shoes, but every now and then I take out my red pumps! It definitely makes me feel different — kind of gives me a bit of energy :)
