I woke up today to a rare overcast and chilly morning, so I pretended it was fall and layered up.
This look is a mix of a few wardrobe favorites. The Aritzia Samuel Blazer is a piece they refresh every season in new prints/colors and is high on my rotation of items to check on at the beginning of each fashion cycle in case there’s a new print I want to add to my wardrobe. It’s a softer fabric so it’s easy to move in, drapes nicely, and isn’t too overwhelming even though it’s long and double-breasted. The silk blouse is the “Brett” by Equipment and one of my great fashion regrets in that I should have bought more before they discontinued the style. It’s slimmer than the “Signature” and has the perfect chest pocket. I wonder why they discontinued it. And denim shorts from American Eagle has become my summer tradition. The fits and washes work well for me, so any time I need a short update, that’s where I go. I like them roomy so I size up.
