H&M Polka-Dot Button Down

…m wearing is size 2, and retails for $24.95. Here is the tag. Despite it’s petite-friendly length and slim silhouette, this blouse is made for someone with a longer torso and broader shoulders than myself. At 14″ the shoulder is a tad big on me, and I’m hoping a wash will eliminate some of the starchiness. If the shoulders relax a little, I might be able to wear it un-layered, but we’ll see how that turns out. From the back, you can see a fold of…

Review: Armani Exchange Shorts in Size P0

The search for great fitting petite shorts led me to Armani Exchange and their size p0. I’ve had some good luck with dresses in that tiny size, so I thought I’d give their shorts a try. So let’s start with my favorite, the striped short, shall we? Armani Exchange Striped Short (now on sale) On me in it’s natural state. Pay close attention to the…um…extra fabric in the crotch…. These sat a bit low on my hips, which means the crotch is way too low,…

Since they are cut smaller, they may not fit snugly on a tiny petite, but might actually fit quite flatteringly. …igher drying heat (right next to a heater). This video I found at The Chic Petite is pretty helpful too: Erin, who first posed this question, came up with another creative idea: I took a spray bottle of warm water to the areas I wanted to shrink, and stuck it in the dryer for about two minutes at a time. It worked fine! Erin also found this company that specializes in knit piece alterations and repair. According to the website, they actually unrav…

Altered Pearl Bracelets

…little reminder that not only clothing, but accessories can be altered for petite frames as well. My favorite sterling silver ball bracelet was shortened by me a few years ago, but I recently discovered it’s too-big-for-me sister in my jewelry box. Nevermind…just took a closer look and it’s a box chain underneath, and can’t be shortened without the ability to weld sterling silver back together. Darn! Does anyone do their own bead/pearl restringing…

Presenting The Alterations Needed Forum!

…mers and constant updates were a huge problem), and fortunately, many more petite-centric communities, bloggers and resources started to become available, so the AN Forum wasn’t as necessary as it was when we started. Thank you again, and happy shopping! =) – Kelly Hands down, the best thing about writing this blog has been the community of readers that have grown around and supported it. When I first started this little blog, my only hope was tha…

While this exact lace bralette is a few years old and no longer available, I’ve rounded up the best dupes out there right now. This Season’s Versi…
