If you’ve been thinking of adding a pair of leather (or faux leather) shorts to your wardrobe, it’s a great time because, in my opinion, this current style iteration is really versatile. The combo of trouser details, high waist, long-ish inseam, and slight volume (thanks to wide leg openings and front pleats if you’re so inclined) hits a sweet spot that works for multiple age groups and personal styles, making these something that should be able to last in your wardrobe for a while.
I picked this pair up during the last sale season to replace an older pair that thanks to the passing ravages of time, no longer fit. I even sized up because I really love a good slouchy short, and I figured that will give me more time before I possibly outgrow this pair too. 😅
My tip: avoid paper bag waists…they’re too trendy and feel dated more often than they’re in style. The cleaner the silhouette, the better for versatility.
