The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here once again! I always look forward to this sale because it gives us a little taste of what we can expect for fall, and brings around some items/deals you won’t find anywhere else (such as the expandable Longchamp Le Pliage!). Brands also use this sale to test consumers’ tastes and appetites for fall/winter, so you may see pieces a little different from what they end up selling elsewhere this season.
There’s nothing too showstopping this year, which makes sense given the effects of Covid on retail and the fashion industry. However, there are deals on some items I own (hello, my favorite boots!), and petite-friendly brands. Below are the items that piqued my interest.
Shopping is being rolled out, in my opinion, way too many tiers this year. It feels a bit alienating considering I’m betting the bulk of their loyal customers are in the Influencers to Insiders tiers. The dates for each status level are below.

The Travel Tote That Always Sells Out
If you want this one, snap it up ASAP. The expandable version of the Longchamp Le Pliage tote is a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale staple. I picked one up last year and have no regrets.
Petite-Friendly Leather Jackets
AllSaints Leather Jackets
The petite-friendly leathers from this brand are a wardrobe favorite of mine. I personally own the “Balfern” so can attest to it’s sizing.
More Leathers
The first comes in petite sizes (!) and the suede is by petite-friendly brand BlankNYC.
AllSaints Knits
On top of making petite-friendly leathers, AllSaints also makes great edgy knits. I love them for their dark, moody colors and perfectly cool prints. They make the PERFECT black and white stripes.
Band Tees!
I have a tee from this brand I’ve had for a few years now and I love it. Perfectly slouchy, soft, and vintage looking. You can never have enough, really.
The Boots I’ve Been Living In
These seem to be the updated version of the boots I’ve been happily enjoying for about a year now. The black goes with everything, and this snake print is well-done and edgy. I love these for the classic toe shape and perfect not-too-high walkable heel height.
Classic Shirts You’ll Wear Forever
I love the look of the white gauzy 100% cotton shirt that will surely be a summer staple and then layer nicely for spring/fall. The white stripe will literally go with everything. Both have chest pockets! My favorite detail on a shirt.
Bralettes & Undies
This is always a good opportunity to stock up on bras and undies. I’ll be looking at comfy bralettes (like the ones below) and boyshort undies. The lace bralette comes in several colors and would be great for layering under button-down shirts.
Nordstrom Brands
I’m not a big fan of Nordstrom’s brands, as I find them stylistically bland, too expensive for what they are, and don’t wash well/last long. That said, the prices are attractive during the NSale and it can be a nice opportunity to pick up comfy loungewear or basics you know you replace often.
Topshop Trend Items
You can always count on Topshop. These 100% cotton jeans come in petite, and these faux leather paperbag shorts look just like the real leather ones I’ve been stalking online.
Levi’s in New Silhouettes
I know a lot of you love yours Levi’s, and they can be a great deal when snagged on sale. Here’s a few non-skinny styles because I know we all have enough skinny jeans and are in the mood for something a little different.
