Greetings from Downtown LA! In honor of the LOFT Friends & Family Event (get 40% off your purchase!), I’ve partnered with LOFT to treat myself and my good friend, Nina on a little girl’s date. Some of you may remember Nina from my favorite petite fashion blogger posts series, and I am forever envious of how she pulls off slouchy and oversized styles so chic and effortlessly. Check her out on her blog and Instagram!
For our little date, I instantly gravitated toward this amazing navy and white floral print blazer. It’s such a fun and cheeky piece, and now I need to be invited to a garden party so I can bust this cutie out again! I paired it with comfy crop jeans, a cotton tee, and a pair of strappy sandals (LOFT from a few seasons ago). Nina took these cute striped skinny pants and added her rocker-chic aethetic with a vintage band tee, her go-to leather moto jacket, and fun colorful shoes.
Nina lives in fabulous DTLA, another thing for which I’m a bit envious. I’ve always loved the gritty feeling of the city, gorgeous turn of the century architecture, and hip eateries and coffee shops. So of course, I was happy to have Nina take me around her ‘hood.
First, we started the afternoon with a glass of wine at her cute DTLA loft where we did some catching up. Then we headed out to explore a hip little area of the Arts District where a good friend of hers has opened one of the best new restaurants in town, Manuela (we had the pleasure of having dinner with the chef and his dad a little later this evening, too). After walking around the Arts District, we headed back to catch the sunset on her building’s rooftop with a bottle of champagne, the DTLA skyline, and some much-needed girl talk.
Thank you to LOFT for sponsoring this post, and be sure to check out the Friends and Family Event going on right now!

I love it, your outfit is so Spring!
That blazer is fantastic! I tried a regular size on in the store and was swimming inside of it, how do you feel the petite fit works? Does it seem to bulky? I’d love to hear more about the fit and feel of the petite version.
Hi Kate! The petite size pleasantly surprised me! I usually feel like LOFT & Ann Taylor petite blazers still run a little generously on me, but this one was much better fitted than in the past. The shoulder and waist when buttoned fit great. The bust is a little roomy still (I’m fairly small there, so no big surprise), and I wish the upper sleeve were slimmer. Aside from that, it’s a great little blazer!
Thanks for the response! I’ll keep an eye for when it’s back in stock. It looks fantastic on you!
