On this last day of the year, I wanted to throw a PSA out to my fellow petites about a great fitting silk shirt over at Everlane. I always have one eye on what Everlane is cooking, being a fan of their fabrics, design, and price points. Semi-recently, Everlane changed their silk blouses to numerical sizing, which I personally love because it tends to give a few more fit points than the xs – xl sizing type. Everlane also introduced “The Slim Silk Shirt” to their lineup, which I finally got around to ordering to try out.
On the model, the slim silk shirt appears quite a bit shorter and less voluminous than their “relaxed silk shirt“, which I usually use as a cue it’ll fit better on a petite frame. Sure enough, that’s exactly how things worked out.
If you’re not familiar with Everlane silk, it’s a soft crepe that is slightly less thick than Equipment (the designer darling of silk). At less than half the price, and now with this new cut and sizing, this shirt is easily my new go-to.
The smaller sizes are back-ordered until next week, but I’ll definiltey be picking up the white when it comes in. For sizing reference, I’m wearing size 00, and my measurements can be found here. And please excuse the rumpled fabric in these photos, as I wore the blouse under a blazer and tucked into jeans all day, which caused a few creases.

What size are your jeans?
hello, thanks for all of your reviews and tips! i read your post about the cuyana silk shirt a while back–the everlane looks to be more sheer (16mm, not 20mm). how would you compare the two? i am interested in one of the lighter colors (pale pink or white). thanks!
Great ensemble! Love the blazer!
Where do you shop for socks to achieve the “no sock” look? Thank you in advance!
