I wore this last weekend to celebrate some good friends passing their medical boards exam. I now know an unusually high number of podiatrists, which is great because I totally effed up my foot in Vegas two months ago and the free medical advice has been clutch.
On another note, this blazer is on great sale at J.Crew right now, with an extra 40% off with code NEWCLOTHES. I’m wearing size petite 00, which also happens to be the only size left at time of posting. It’s a really great traditional menswear piece in a nice felted wool and scrumptious shade of grey. The little details have me smitten, like the inside pockets, striped lining, and real working lapel button hole.
These jeans are back this season, but in a higher rise and longer inseam, which is great for those who didn’t like the super cropped length of the pair I’m wearing. This wash has been surprisingly versatile and flattering!
Also, if you’ve been eyeing anything from Shopbop, they just added a bunch of new mark downs to spring/summer items, so check on your wish list. I was waiting for this bad boy to get marked down a little further (which it did), and snagged it with the help of a little store credit I had sitting around. If you’re looking for a good graphic tee, I like this one.

Thank you Liv! =)
How do you keep your jacket sleeves so nicely scrunched?
Hi Caroline! Two things: 1) Push them up past the elbow. The elbow makes a natural stop point to prevent the sleeves from falling. 2) Flip the sleeve cuff. It narrows the opening and makes it snugger, so the sleeve is more likely to stay up.
Ah, I see the flipped cuff now. I’ll have to try that!
ooh dangerous! this has been on my list, and started a shopping ban Aug 1, haha. but thank you!
How would you compare Campbell vs Ludlow blazer?
Hi Allyson!
The Campbell is a more feminine fit. The placement of the single button and tailoring of the torso are much more of a waist skimming silhouette, and the length is a little shorter. The Ludlow is more of a traditional menswear fit. The torso is still tailored for women (not straight or boxy like a men’s blazer would be), but the double buttons creates a boxier optical illusion. Also, the length is longer, and the chest is padded like a men’s blazer (this surprised me the most!). If you’re looking for more of a menswear, boyfriend blazer fit, go for the Ludlow. If you’re interested in more of a classic blazer with feminine shape, go for the Campbell. Both are great and classic in their own way. =)
Thanks for the detailed comparison!!
hi Kelly,
your GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI shoes are gorgeous. Can you please comment on the level of comfort and ease of walking of this shoes? Thanks
