No, not the band. The blazer! Banana Republic blazers have been filling my closet lately, and I’m not bummed about it. The cuts, fabrics and prints have been classic, fun, and non-gimicky which I’m totally on board with. Also majorly appreciated, that good ol’ petite sizing cutting down on my tailoring bills.
I also want to point out this silk camisole that I’ve been stalking. Initially, I fell in love with this one by fashion blogger Rumi Neely’s clothing line, Are You Am I. I think the straps are very clever, and I’m sure the fabric is delightful, but I couldn’t justify the price for a little cami. This one is a good dupe, but the buttons aren’t functional and the straps aren’t adjustable, which I didn’t care for. Then, this one popped up on Aritzia and it’s pretty perfect. It’s lined, the buttons are functional, straps are adjustable, and the price is right. I love the look of those luxe silk wrapped buttons peeking out from under a blazer!
