Details: ‘Be Wild Spikes Necklace’ thanks to Mejuri | Club Monaco shirt | Topshop bralette
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, then you’ll know I’m a big proponent of choosing to invest in fine jewelry rather than costume jewelry. Costume jewelry can be fun (and I’ve been known to buy a piece here and there), but for me, nothing beats the feeling of slipping on a beautiful piece of fine jewelry that you know will last a lifetime, speaks to who you are, and could even someday become a family heirloom.
Of course, fine jewelry is not without it’s problems. The price can be steep (although I’ve seen a lot of designer costume jewelry selling for shamelessly astronomical prices!), and design often lacks the edge and trend you can find in costume.
So today I want to share with you Mejuri, a brand making fine jewelry in sterling silver, 18k vermeil (18k gold plated over sterling silver), and solid 18k gold with affordable prices (their prices rival many costume jewelry brands out there right now!) and modern design.
My personal favorite piece from the current Mejuri collection is hands down the Be Wild Spikes Necklace which comes in 18k gold vermeil (which I’m wearing) and sterling silver. I love how this piece is both tough and delicate at the same time, yet simple enough to wear everyday.
Mejuri has been kind enough to offer two promotions for you today:
1) Mejuri would like to offer you 15% off your order with code ‘Alterations15’ valid through April 13th.
2) Mejuri has offered to giveaway the ‘Be Wild Spikes Necklace’ in 18k gold vermeil (same necklace I’m wearing above) to one lucky reader. Read below for giveaway terms and how to enter:
Love your style, Kelly!
A very pretty necklace and I agree ‘real’ jewellery beats costume every time. I’ve just entered the competition and then realised it doesn’t include Australia…ho hum. A nice gift for someone nonetheless.
I think I stopped buying costume jewelry by the pound a couple of years ago. I agree that it is better to reach for a piece that you love and makes you smile. I have a gold monogram pendant that I still get so many compliments on even years later. I love the midi rings Mejuri offers as I’ve been eyeing yours for a while, I might have to jump in and get grab one or two. Great giveaway!
