The words “cropped” and “shrunken” are like music to my ears. When shopping, these words inspire hope items not necessarily made with my height and proportions in mind might just fit me the way their classic-sized counterparts were meant to be worn.
A prime example: this leather moto jacket. Thanks to a cropped length and shrunken fit, the sizing works really well for my petite frame. Perhaps best of all, that shoulder is nice and narrow, which I find most frustratingly hard to find, especially in items I prefer not to alter, such as leather.
Besides the fit, I’m pretty drunk in love with this piece. It’s my absolute favorite shade of medium cool grey, although it also comes in olive and black if you’re so inclined. The hardware is matched to the color, so there’s no metal clashing with your favorite jewelry or accessories, and the style is just classic and cool. For anyone interested, I’ve included the measurements below.
The approximate measurements of size xs (laid flat) are as follows:
Shoulder: 13.5″
Bust: 16.5″
Waist: 14.5″
Sleeve length: 17.5″
Bicep: 5.25″
Length: 17″
PPS…these jeans are now on sale with an extra 50% taken at checkout, bringing them down to $45. I love the color, fading and length on these, and wear them often!

Thank you Elise! =)
i’d love to know where you go in these cool outfits! it’d be nice if you mentioned it in the text – office? date? dinner with friends? mall?
Hi J.S.! Thanks for the comment! This outfit is something I’d wear meeting up with friends, or out to a casual dinner. If it were too cold or I’d be doing a lot of walking, I’d switch out the pumps for my grey suede ankle boots.
But that’s me. You might have your own ideas for where this outfit would be great! What’s important is you feel amazing wearing it. I love the idea of having a unique personal style and wearing what you love. That’s why I like to keep outfit suggestions open ended so readers can find inspiration in the outfits and apply it in their own unique way.
I hope that helps! Ultimately, I believe in wearing what works best for you and works best for your lifestyle. =)
In love with this jacket! (And can’t believe I was browsing them online last night before you posted this today… very coincidental ;) ) I am yet to own a leather jacket, and am worried about starting off with black in fear of it being too edgy for my taste, so a gray or olive cropped one would be perfect. I see a splurge in my future!

My vote is for grey, but the olive looks great too! Sheryl of Walk in Wonderland (a fellow shortie at 5’2″) is wearing the olive here:

Hi Sophia! Just wanted to pop in and let you know the cropped leather jacket is on promo right now for 20% off –> http://altsneed.co/1ZAbwhn
=)
I’m not usually a fan of leather, but this just looks so good. Especially on you ♥
Great jacket! Love when the hardware is in the same color too.
That jacket is everything! It secretly alludes to an Acne leather as well, yet the price tag is so much more friendly..
