Short, long, longer…this has become a favorite technique of mine for layering cropped and long silhouettes together in the same look. I’m especially pleased with how it looked in this post, and here it is again for further proof. The formula is simple:
1) Cropped items look great paired with long items – here it’s a cropped sweater paired with a long shirt, which doesn’t need a top layer if you don’t want to wear one.
2) To add a top layer, use an even longer silhouette – here it’s a long vest that ends below the hem line of the long shirt. The cropped item balances both longer items in a visually pleasing way.
