Cropped Stripes

Long live the crop sweater! They look great layered over longer button up shirts (my closet staple) and their shorter length can be a flattering fit on petites (and fit like a “regular” sweater if it’s long enough). I really like the stripes on this one (25% off right now at Shopbop, or it’s also at Club Monaco in this stripe, or black and white solids), as I tend to gravitate toward stripe patterns that either begin a little below the neckline, or aren’t cut off by a contrast neckline. I feel it makes it look more like an authentic breton stripe that way, as opposed to just another stripe top.

On top of being cropped, fitted, and chicly striped, I also like the fabric content on this one. Mostly wool, it’s really soft to the touch and is blended with just enough nylon/elastane to give it some stretch and help keep it’s shape. Two tiny side slits at the bottom hem give it some added interest.

Thanks Liv! If you want a stripe one, I’d highly recommend this one. Otherwise, my other favorite is one I found at Aritzia by Sunday Best (100% wool). It seems to be gone online, but you might be able to find some in stores on sale. =)
