My first frantic late night scan of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale failed to discover these leather Halogen shorts, so by the time I did see them, my size had already been snatched up. My interest was very piqued by the trouser styling, soft shallow pleat for the perfect amount of slouch, modest non-hot-pant length, pockets, and availability in petite sizing. As reviews trickled in, shoppers raved about all these things, including the expensive feeling soft leather, and bargain of a price. Leather can be tough and expensive to alter, so the possibility of well-proportioned petite sizing intrigued me.
Near the end of the sale, there were a few pop-backs, and I was able to pounce on my size. Sadly, they arrived after the sale had already ended, so I couldn’t get them on the blog in time for anyone else’s shopping decision-making. However, even at the current selling price, I’d say these shorts are a worthy investment. The leather is worthy of brands selling for twice the price, shorts are fully lined, and crafted with the perfect amount of slouch. The 00P fit me beautifully (great fit at the waist, slightly slouchy, but still with a slim profile), and I’m so happy I decided to purchase!
Sizes are getting re-stocked online, and Nordstrom is great at finding sizes in other stores for you, and shipping them to your home for free. If leather shorts are on your wish-list…these are definitely worth taking a look.

Thank you, Carol! =)
What a fabulous find…….. the whole outfit looks lovely on you. Dressed up casual….a perfect combination.
Buying shorts without alterations? Is that even a thing?! (I’m 4’11 too so I feel the pain of large pant leg sizes!) Congrats on finding them!
