J.Crew has 40% off (50% off select) sale items with code YAYSALE now through tomorrow, 3/6. My picks are the Collection Black Tweed Jacket(on me here) which is part of the 50% off promo, and if you can find it in stores, I’m really happy with the Crinkle Boy Shirt in Black Check .
The moment I saw this blouse, I knew I had to have her. She’s a wonderful metaphor for my personal style…firmly rooted in the masculine, but feminized.
My favorite part is its versatility. At its core, it’s a beautifully made cream silk blouse with detailed cuffs and a hidden placket, which can be worn by itself. The perfectly matching tie adds some fun styling possibilities, and because it’s made in the same soft silk, it’s drapes beautifully and feels feminine despite its very masculine heritage.

Hey Kelly! I love your blog and read it regularly. I’m considering purchasing the Marissa Webb blouse in this post, but I’ve noticed the size 0 is sold out online an am considering the 2.
I don’t normally purchase petite sizes, but I am only a 32″ bust size and take a regular 0 or 00 at Ann Taylor / Loft / etc. Could you comment on the fit of the blouse?
Hi Emily! I found this blouse to run a bit slim for silk (slimmer than Equipment Brett size XS for example), but the shoulder runs big. My blouse is currently at the tailor (getting the shoulder made smaller and length shortened, but I left the torso width alone because I didn’t want it to pull at the bust. I think size 0 is your perfect size, with size 2 being a more relaxed fit. I think size 2 could work, but you’d probably try on a size 0 and think “oh yeah, this is perfect.”. That blouse in white just sells out of size 0 so damn quick! I snagged it during a size re-stock and then it was gone again. =P
Intermix has the black version in size 0 online right now (http://rstyle.me/~25cX9)…so if you have a store near you, you can order (free ship) for sizing purposes and return in store for free (by mail is $10). It’s less costly than ordering through the Marissa Webb website.
