Last week began Restaurant Week in San Diego, which marks the rare occasion when this homebody is actually excited to go out on a Wednesday night. Gotta love discounted menus at my favorite restaurants…whoohoo! I wore this for an evening at our tried and true local steak house, and then a variation of this the next evening for another dinner with friends.
The pièce de résistance of my week’s wardrobe was this velvet tuxedo blazer, which I came to own by happy accident. This blazer was given to me by a friend (happy!), which was rendered useless to her after her tailor altered it down too much (accident!).
One girl’s tailoring disaster is another girl’s wardrobe workhorse…or something like that.
