I’ve had double-breasted pinstripes on the brain, but most of them fit on the longer side so even with a full tailoring makeover, would fit more like a coat than a blazer on me (shortening a blazer by lopping off fabric from the bottom often leaves the distance between the buttons/pockets & blazer bottom at an awkward proportion). So unearthing this shrunken one at a Theory outlet made my day! It ends at a more traditional length on me, and is already proving to be a fun little piece to wear.
Details – Theory blazer (exact on eBay) (super cute from J.Crew – 25% off w/code FALLSTYLE) :: Banana Republic shirt :: Rag & Bone jeans :: Rachel Roy shoes :: Jason Wu handbag :: Michael Kors watch :: Givenchy brooch :: Vince Camuto bracelet :: Rings: Gorjana, Daisy Knights, & antique
Altered – Nothing
You look very sharp in this outfit, Kelly! I don’t typically wear blazers but I absolutely love this one on you. Bonus points for no alterations =)
Thank you Sydney! Yes, the no alterations part is definitely an added benefit!
Great blazer. I really do love Theory for suiting. And even better that you likely got a great deal on it at the outlet.
Thank you Amy! Gotta love those end of season extra % off sales at the Theory outlet! ;)
Love this on you! I’ve been so afraid of wearing anything double-breasted but seeing how great it looks on you makes me want to try it.
Thank you! I’m loving double-breasted everything these days. Hehe.
i really like this! and i love how you did your belt! such a great little touch!
Thanks! I like tying the belt like that because it helps hide that ugly jean button. ;)
Thank you Carol! It’s one of the great pieces from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. =)
