A printed blazer is such an easy topper to a basic outfit. Even while wearing this with flats earlier in the day, I felt dressed up while still keeping it casual in what is just a basic jeans & blazer combo.
None of my necklaces looked right this day, so I went sans neckwear…but methinks a perfect accessory would have been something simple & black, like a bow tie perhaps? =)

Love that Rag & Bone blazer! I’ve been going without necklaces recently, or with tiny ones. There has been so much costume jewelry during the past few years that sometimes I actually like keeping things simple.
I too like it with nothing around the neck. The red purse and the bracelet give you enough of a pop.
Maybe it’s the orchestra dork in me from growing up, or being in DC now but a shirt and any kind of blazer is the best go to I can think of. :] So maybe not the most practical but I think this could be fun (not sure how they source the wood though): http://www.woodenbowties.com/clifford/ or I think this would look really great on you, I really love this: http://www.jupe-by-jackie.com/men/bowties/zig-zag.html
