White Shorts & Summer Stripes

With the bulk of our friends and family in Los Angeles, the boyfriend and I end up traveling pretty often on the weekends. So when we finally have a weekend where we don’t have to drive anywhere, I am in heaven. Nothing feels more amazing than sleeping in and waking up in my own bed, lounging around with a cup of coffee, and not having to go anywhere. And I mean anywhere. Home to the bod to the dee.

This was one of those amazing weekends where we didn’t have to travel, so we ventured into our new neighborhood a little bit.

I had to replace my white shorts from last year. They were serving me pretty well until they shrank too much in the wash, and I couldn’t sit in them any longer if I still planned on breathing. While shopping around for new ones, I learned a handy tip about white clothing. Tan colored pocket linings help minimize pocket show-through. Here’s the inside of these Banana Republic white shorts I’m wearing, as shared on Instagram:

It still amazes me that you guys drive to LA that often. Everytime I think about LA, the traffic comes to mind; beautiful weather, you and Wendy of course… but that traffic! lol.

I love those loafers! I just bought my first pair (polka dotted calf hair ones from Gap) and I’m excited to start wearing them.

  3. Thanks Rachelle! FYI, the shirt shrinks in a hot dryer pretty easily since it’s linen. If you want it stay the same size, you might want to air dry or dry on a very low setting. Hope you like it! =)
