I’ve literally been living in this shirt (extra 30% off with code SUNSHINE thru 4/7) since it arrived last week. The color, fabric (linen/cotton), and easy breezy shape (it’s a “boy” shirt, so fits roomy in the torso, while still being fitted in the shoulder and sleeves) is geting me geared up for summer. I’ve been wearing it under blazers, alone and buttoned up, and this time I wanted to add a little interest by way of a sequin shell. I wore white denim to match the warmer weather, and every time I put on these jeans, all I want to pair them with are these bright cobalt heels. They look so good together!
I also finally got around to taking some of my skinny jeans to the tailor. If you remember a while back, I wondered about the best way to hem skinny jeans. I got tired of rolling them and had a few pairs, these included, hemmed and then slimmed at the ankle to “re-skinny” them. To get a pair of jeans hemmed and tapered at the ankle cost $16 at my local tailor.
Tip: I’m really loving the “Garment Doctor” series from menswear blog, The Style Blogger. A handy tip they taught me is, when getting denim tailored, look for a tailor that has a chain stitch machine. That way, the tailor can better match the original stitching of your denim. Thanks, boys!
Another new love is this link bracelet from Stella & Dot. Enjoying chunky link bracelets on the wrists of others, I was saddened at how awkward they looked on myself. This slightly daintier version plays better with my proportions and adjusts to fit a variety of wrist sizes. I’m wearing it on the smallest setting, and it can adjust several more inches in length for more average sized wrists. See it in action on Instagram (and proof I’ve been LIVING in this shirt)

I really love this striped shirt, and you have styled it to perfection!
i thought about you when i returned this shirt yesterday. it didn’t matter what size i tried on, they all seemed too snug across the back. it would usually be ok but i do a lot of reaching motions in my job and dont need to hear a rip in the middle of the day! love the pants, turned out beautiful!
What a bummer Amber! It seems like such a “you” piece, too. =(
Youre so well proportioned, you could pass for 5,9 in these pix
I absolutely love this outfit, Kelly. I must find white jeans for the summer and now I’m also adding blue suede shoes to my wishlist :)
Summer can’t come soon enough back east!
Jeans are looking great! Great decision to get them re-skinnyed and hemmed! $16 aint bad!
I had to have that shirt after seeing those pics so I… just ordered it online! Can’t wait to receive it and, hopefully, it fits me! Thanks for sharing the info about the current additional 30% off. :-)
I love this – it is the epitome of summer chic, right down the sequin white shell!
p.s. You always look great in skinnies – can I please have your legs?

uhh – great tip on the chain stitch machine – totally keeping that in mind when I talk to a tailor again. =D
