The Week in Outfits – 5/6/11

:: 5/2/11 ::

I had some fun exploring the yard around my new place this week, and wanted to share the nice, big photos on the blog this time around.

J.Crew cardigan :: H&M t-shirt :: Paige jeans :: Cole Haan shoes :: Honora pearls :: Jet bead necklace

While traipsing among the pretty flowers and stone pathways seem fun and serene in these photos…it was quite terrifying at times as bumble bees circled around my head to investigate (I shared this special moment in time on Twitter…gotta love 2-second camera timers!).

Theory blazer :: H&M blouse :: Paige jeans :: Cole Haan shoes

I actually ran…in heels…over uneven stone paths, during this photo shoot…darn bees!

:: 5/5/11 ::
Theory knit vest :: LOFT button-down :: Paige jeans :: Cole Haan shoes

My hair was not cooperating this day…grrrr.

This little Studio M blouse has the weirdest print! It has little birds and berries all over it.

Thank you for reading and following along on my weekly outfit adventures! I hope, at the very least, it keeps you entertained. Knowing that my outfits will be broadcast for all to see, has certainly pushed me to be a little less lazy in the mornings, so thank you! ;)

    I like these big photo weekly recaps. Dressing nice and taking pictures every day is hard! Kudos! My favorites are your use of the Chanel as a clutch in #1 (gorgeous and versatile!) and the white blazer in #3. Looking forward to next week's!

    Such great photos! It's rainy here today but your photos make me feel warm and be positive about continuing to anticipate spring :) You rock those Paige flares like no other! Paige really makes it best jeans for Petites, eh?

    Happy weekend!

    Kelly, I love the big picture format! Gorgeous! Thank you for bringing the red Chanel out again. It's beautiful. Funny I brought out my UO kimchi blue jacket this week as well. :) Have a great weekend.

    @Leena – Thanks Leena, that's my favorite from last week too. The Chanel bag isn't new, I've had it since fall 2009. It just doesn't get nearly enough photo time on the blog. Gotta fix that. ;)

    @Really Petite – Thank you!

    @Cee – Thanks! It is hard to get dressed semi-decently every morning. I've done better on some days and worse on others, but, hey, I'm trying. ;)

    @Jen – LOL! Thanks! I love my bootcut jeans! Paige is by far my favorite, and the make the bum look great. ;)

    @Vicky – I'll try to bring the red Chanel out more often, just for you Vicky. Hehe.

    Love it all but am REALLY drawn to the Studio M blouse – birds and berries? Sounds adorably kitschy!

    Ah! I love seeing you in the 5/6 outfit…I do not get to see you in florals too often!

    I feel your pain with the hair (although I do not see the problem)…mine has been making me made lately :( I need to find new hair products!

    I think all your outfits are cute!  I keep buying & buying & buying, never really trying to put outfits together that are already in my closet. I think my MAJOR problem is…I don’t get up early enough in the morning to figure out a great outfit, when I already have the tools to work with.  My mom says to put the outfit together at night, but I live in Texas, and what the weather is doing the night before is almost totally different the next day. Anyways – I think your looks are edgy and stylish!  I need to find a good pair of jeans too.  You gave me some great ideas, so thanks!

    1.  Thank you!! Ugh, totally know what you mean about not getting up early enough to put together cute outfits, I’m so not a morning person. Maybe put together outfits with weather options the night before? Like: “I’ll wear this tomorrow, and if it’s hailing in the morning, I throw on a trench, but if it’s 100 degrees outside, I’ll switch  these pants out for this skirt”. Picking out what your favorite colors to wear are, and how to mix & match them helps a lot. That way more of your clothing goes together than if you’re closet looks like a rainbow.
