This one was hard for me because living in Southern California, our seasons don’t change too much. My summer wardrobe looks a lot like my winter wardrobe, with maybe a few more blazers thrown in. I’m also a horrible summer dresser, so while I came up with my fall/winter outfit pretty quickly, my spring/summer outfit threw me for a loop.
The item:
The fabulous LOFT ruffle cardigan! I love this so much, I got it in two colors!
For spring/summer:
Funnily enough, it had just stopped raining when I took my summer outfit pics.
Yes, I wear sweaters even in the summer! I’m always cold, and even if I’m not chilly just this second, chances are, the second I enter an air conditioned restaurant, or even someone’s home, I will freeze if I don’t have a sweater on. This LOFT sweater is thin enough that it’s quite comfortable in most summer weather.
Side note: I just recently made a huge mistake on the hottest day of the year in LA and wore a similar outfit with a cashmere cardigan…yes…hot hot cashmere. I was dying.
The skirt I’ve never shown on the blog before. I bought it over a year ago, and it’s been my go-to casual skirt. It’s made of sweatshirt material, and has pockets!
For fall/winter:
I took a que from the styling on the LOFT website and layered the ruffle cardigan under a jacket. It looks really great, and I think I’ve found my new favorite fall outfit. I’m on a kick at the moment where I love wearing my tweed Manolo Blahniks, so there’s no reason why they’re in this outfit besides the fact I just really wanted to wear them. =)

I feel like a dork… scheduled it for 8:45 but then forgot to hit publish lol. But it's up now! :)
I also wear cardigans year round and can definitely see myself wearing both your outfits! Love the flower pin for the unexpected bit of color too :)
Add me to the list of participants! :)
I love the skirt for the spring/summer. I also love seeing all the different ways you style jackets! Nice choices!
omg I totally understand. I wear sweaters in the summer too. LOL The subway is just FREEZING when the AC is on. Malls and restaurants too!
I love how you threw a blazer over your cardigan. I would've never thought of that because I'd feel too hot. Even in the winter I try to keep it to a bare minimum because I can get hot very easily. Then my face turns red. -_-
Michelle – I can't find your PFC post! Can you post the link here? I'll add it.
HELLO ruffle sweater under theory tweed blazer! *Runs to closet to try that combo on*
I love both these ensembles. I'll definitely be stealing that second outfit idea, or at least attempting to. I'm a little plumper than you so the Theory gratian jacket may not have allowance for a cardigan underneath.
Man, the entries are so good! I am ashamed of mine!
Hmm…I must have done something wrong…obviously new at this. I just went ahead and published it now. Here is the link:

I love both of your outfits and the pins/brooches that go with it! It adds a great counterpoint to the blazer and cardigan.
Thanks for hosting this round of the PFC challenge! =)
LOVE the outfits! Teal is one of my favorite colors and I just don't own enough of it. The blazer-over-cardigan is a great look… and I heart skirts with pockets. :)
I like how you added the purple flower pin to your cardigan! Thanks for hosting this challenge…I got some good ideas from all the petite bloggers!
Kelly, my scheduling thing didn't work. I just published my post. I am not sure why. Anyway, you look lovely in your outfit. I like how to add a flower pin to the cardigan. The Theory jacket is also adorable. Thanks for hosting this challenge.
I love the cardi w/ the blazer! I would have never thought of that.
My PFC post didn't schedule properly, but it is now posted here:

The cardigan looks so terrific with your theory blazer, I am so mad at myself for not picking up those cardigans when they were still available. They look terrific with everything (on you at least). Your outfits are going in my fashion "inspiration" folder. Thanks for hosting it!
I LOVE the cardi under the blazer! LOL I was going to try something similar but the hem of my (cheap) blazer came out!
I think I will have to stalk that Theory Blazer now, such a staple!
The fall outfit is PERFECT as a Casual Friday work outfit!!! Looks professional, yet comfy and casual! :)
I love the bright colors in your spring/summer outfit. Makes me wish we weren't saying goodbye to it… Really nice slate colors in the fall/winter outfit, le gasp Blahniks?! I really like how business casual it is too. =0D
I really love the way you layered the cardi under the blazer. It looks polished and fun at the same time. I also really like the sweatshirt skirt! Dressy and casual at the same time.
Love the necklace-cardigan-blazer combo. If I were to picture it in my mind, it would seem too busy, but you pull it off perfectly. The long necklace really pulls it together. :)
And a big thank you for hosting this challenge!
I absolutely love your fall/winter ensemble. I saw something similiarly styled at the BR store but thought it was a bit much…hmmm loving it on you…maybe I will try it! Oh and I keep jackets/cardigans everywhere (office, car) since I'm always cold…understand you there. I always get the strangest looks in the summertime though…lol! Keep up the good work!

So cute! Oh, and I forgot to tell you, on your recommendation I bought the ruffle cardigan! I get most of my cardigans in PXS though…I find it's less tight in the bust ;)
I love the fall/winter look! The sweater under the blazer and tweed (I think?) pumps looks great together! And perfect for the cooler temperatures.
I really like both of your looks a lot, but my favorite is the fall/winter. The skirt in spring/summer looks adorable and sounds super comfy (with pockets- bonus)! Thanks so much for hosting this challenge, I had a lot of fun!
wow everytime you wear this jacket Kelly, I fall in love. I wish I owned it.
Kelly, thank you for making this challenge possible. It took me a loooong while to go through all of them. They are all fantastic and unique.
I really really like the way you layer your ruffle cardi with the blazer. You look very sharp in that outfit.
I just love that cardigan… and I now own it!
Thanks everyone! The fall/winter outfit is my favorite too!
