Foot Liners for Small Shoe Sizes: Hue

Wearing heels and flats were beating up my feet. Rubbing and pinching were terrorizing my toes, and my heels were rubbed from the back of my shoes. The best way to stop this is with the use of foot liners, which are like short, thin socks that remain hidden below the lines of your shoe, so you’re wearing a sock without anyone seeing it. I kept trying to find foot liners that would fit discretely in my shoes without creeping up too high to be seen, but having small sized feet made this difficult.

Most of these liners are made for groupings of sizes, so while they may be discrete in a size 7 shoe, they were peeking out of my size 5’s. I tried many types that *looked* small, but they still creeped up past my shoe for a very unattractive orthopedic look. Not the look I was going for obviously.

Then I found these Cool Contours Low Cut Liners by HUE, and hoped the “low cut” description meant they’d actually work for my little feet. I bought one pair, put them on as soon as I got home, and amazingly enough they worked! I wore them to work the next day, and my feet were so happy that I went back and bought a bunch more. I’m even thinking of buying more, I love them that much. These things seriously saved my feet.

If you decide to pick these up, make sure you get the ones that say “designed for left and right foot”, in size s/m, because these are the only ones I’ve ever found that are low enough to hide in my shoes. These don’t work for EVERY pair of shoes I own…but for those, I have another solution…

These are slingback toe liners, so they only cover your toes, and have a clear silicone strap that goes around your heel to keep them from scrunching up inside your shoe. The little strap thing slides off sometimes, and I have to fix them, but all is forgiven for the happiness they give my toes.

No more rubbing! Ever since I discovered these, I never wear my shoes without them. They make heels soooo much more comfy. Also at Bloomingdales (here) and Nordstrom stores.

I really like these but they need to make an extra small because they are still too big for my tiny feet. Also, do they ever peek out of your shoe? I have this problem when I wear them. I always have to re-adjust so they are not showing.

It completely depends on my shoe. If it's low cut in the front, then they sometimes peek out and I have to re-adjust. The toe ones work pretty well at not peeking out, so I use those one shoes that are low-cut. There might be smaller ones, but the HUE "Low Cut" liners are the smallest I've found so far. Let me know if anyone finds smaller ones!

I just bought a bunch more of these last week after discovering then at Bloomies. They peek slightly out of my size 4 ballet flats, but are the only things that prevent blisters.

Btw, love your blog! I stumbled on it after looking for more info on Giordano's closing. I'm 4'9" and 90 pounds. Too bad I didn't know about this big network of petite bloggers when I was selling my (much-hemmed) wedding dress!

    Hi Lisa!

Glad you found my blog! Oh man…shopping for (and altering) a wedding dress to fit sounds like a nightmare! I still have a while to go before I have to go through that =) I hope a tiny petite woman was lucky enough to find your dress!
