Ann Taylor LOFT Petite Tweed Pants Have Arrived!

The Ann Taylor LOFT Petite Marisa Fit tweed pants finally arrived, and I’m in love! These are my new favorite dress pants…and the alterations are minimal. Just the waist needs to be taken in! How awesome is that?
Size Petite 00 on me:

The waist is a little big:

Top: H&M, size XS
Not only are these pants slim in the leg and thigh, but they are fully lined as well! I really appreciate a fully lined pant…it makes them feel so much more expensive than they are.
I know these pants are sold out online in size Petite 00, but the “Locate in Store” function on the Ann Taylor website says it’s still available in several stores…and at $49.99…you can’t go wrong. If you call customer service or talk to a sales associate in store, they should be able to find a pair of these and get them sent to you.
These are so incredibly cute! I can’t wait to get them back from my tailor! I have a feeling I’ll be wearing these a lot!

I am glad these worked for you. I checked them out based on your mention of them. Unfortunately on me they were very wrong. I am 5ft 4 (a tall petite haha) but very slender so for me the inseam was too short, the rise was too short, the hips basically fit, the waist was still too big. I really didn't like the cuffs either. Oh well. They look really nice on you though. Glad they work aside from the waist being too large.

Forgive my naivete regarding alterations, but that waist looks huge! I would never purchase them if they were so big. How do the back pockets not wind up looking awkwardly placed and too close together? I know it should be tapered as it's taken in but I would still wonder if it would work. I look forward to seeing them post-alterations!

I went and tried these pants on, and the 2P fit me really well. I don't like dry-clean only clothes, but these were so flattering that I bought them, and will probably keep them. So thanks for recommending them!

Anonymous – I'm glad these worked out for you! I can't wait to get mine back from the tailor.

Lauren – My tailor is taking in the waist as we speak! I'll do an Adventures in Alterations post on them after a get them back.

These are super cute and btw, I'm now going to your tailor!

I have to say I don't like wearing pants with side pockets. I usually end up getting them sewn up. I just think they add width where I don't need it (the hip – my widest part) and since I'm short waisted I rarely ever tuck blouses in anyway. They look good on you, but it's a pet peeve of mine with petite pants.
