Great Short Boots in Small Shoe Sizes: Via Spiga "Linden" Bootie

I bought these boots months ago in size 5 from Nordstrom during an early fall sale and completely forgot about them until the weather started getting cooler. I pulled these out of my closet and wore them for the first time yesterday, and with all the compliments I got on them, they ended up being a great purchase!

I was looking for the perfect short boot to wear under boot-cut jeans and dress pants for a while. Something in black, with an almond shaped toe, so it’s neither pointy nor round, but somewhere in between. I needed a thin heel (I hate clunky boot heels!) between 3-3.5 inches (my favorite height for both attractiveness and comfort), and a brand that was neither too cheap nor too expensive.

I hate cheap boots because as soon as they scratch, they look awful because of the cheap leather dye jobs. However, since I’m going to beat up these boots all fall and winter (work, shopping, rain, mud…etc) I don’t want to tear up a really expensive pair. These Via Spiga “Linden” Booties are perfect! Almond toe, 3.5 inch heel, black leather, at a reasonable price point, with an expensive look to them.

And the best part about these boots is…they come in sizes 4 and 4.5! Oh, no, wait…the best part about them is…they’re on sale at Nordstrom! And the small sizes are still available!

I can attest to the comfort of these, since I just wore them yesterday for the first time without a pinch or blister in sight. And I can also attest to the look of them, because all day my co-workers were complimenting my boots…even the guys! These Via Spiga booties are available on sale at Nordstrom here:

I was just browsing through nordies web site and noticed that the Jessica Simpson Angie boots come in small sizes, 4 m and 5m, so I thought of your site. I ordered myself a pair since they are on sale for 99 and they would look great on casual days.

I would like to order this bootie online and unsure about the size (there is no Via Spiga in Canada). There is a feedback on Zappos that the brand fits large. May I ask if you bought your regular size in these booties or 1/2 – 1 size down. Also, where is this bootie was crafted? It does have expensive look. Thank you very much.

I am usually a size 5, and I bought these in a size 5, so they ran true to size for me. I like to wear boots with socks, so these were a little tight the first time I wore them with socks on, but after a day or two of breaking them in, they are perfect!

I am away from my shoes right now, so I can't check the country of origin, but endless.com says they are from China.

Thank you for answering my questions. I just ordered this bootie. I plan to wear it with jeans and trousers, and maybe even with black matte opaque tights and black tweedy (around the knee length) pencil skirt. I love this affordable but expensive looking bootie!

I'm glad the bootie worked out for you! I love mine!

About the shoes you asked about, I would choose the Cole Haan shoes. I have several of these, and I LOVE them. They have Nike Air technology, which means the footbed is lightly padded, which makes them very comfortable. I wear these ALL the time. Cole Haan 100%!
