Anyone remember my post about creating presence in your outfits? It’s one of my most utilized fashion formulas by way of ankle baring cuffs and pushed up sleeves. My favorite sleeve length is somewhere between 3/4 and elbow which I usually achieve with a fold, cuff or push of the sleeve. On blazers, this is easy, but has been hard to do with my current petite friendly leather jacket (it’s still available here) (plus it’s more of a fall/winter weight). Summer weight 3/4 sleeve leather jackets seemed like an easy answer but proved annoyingly hard to find.
I took a chance on this amazing but expensive Cafe Racer jacket by R13 when I had some gift cards to spend, but even then the leftover price made me gulp. The price-per-wear is proving to be well worth it as the fit, weight, and 3/4 sleeve is perfect for layering most of the year in temperate Southern California. I also really like the style as it feels cool and edgy, while standing out from a sea of traditional belted motos.
Amazingly, another favorite brand of mine, All Saints, just released this great 3/4 sleeve leather jacket at a much more palatable price. If you’re in the market, I’d suggest taking a look. Size 00 at All Saints tends to fit me really well, and my measurements can be found here for reference.
