Banana Republic Petite Trench Dress // Size Petite 00
This is technically a dress, but it piqued my interest for it’s possibilities as a drapey trench. The fabric is a super soft modal and the color is a slightly faded soft green, which I thought would make it a versatile piece if I could successfully wear it open as a trench. Fully snapped (it has snaps instead of buttons) up as a dress didn’t work very well on me. It was much too oversized and the self-tie belt sat too low on my waist (at my hip really). Worn open worked much better, and my first inclination was that it was really cute and I ended up purchasing. Unfortunately, after trying it on a few times at home, I ultimately decided to return. The too-low self-tie belt ended up making any look I styled with it feel top heavy, probably because the waist-nipping action I needed wasn’t happening at the right spot on my figure. If you have a long torso, I bet this would look really cute worn as a drapey trench! Try it!
I forgot to take measurements before I returned this item, but hopefully the photos can give you an idea of fit.

Banana Republic Petite Multi-Zip Moto Jacket // Size Petite 00
You saw this jacket worn in a post already, but I figured it was worth a mini fit review anyway. This jacket is more of a structured knit, constructed in a thick ponte fabric. I found the structure in the torso to give it a nice swingy fit at the back, typical of cropped moto style jackets. The sleeves are nice and slim, and the shoulder is narrow (a common complaint in the reviews), so it has a nice fitted look. I also tried on the pink, but found it to fit a little roomier…not sure if this is indicative of that color-way across the board, or if I just happened to grab one off the rack with a roomier fit.
For some reason, the petite in this jacket is not available online, but I found it in my local store, so if you’re interested and need the petite, perhaps check there (the Grant Ave. store in SF has them!).
The approximate measurements of size Petite 00 are as follows (laid flat):
Shoulder: 14″ (but looks narrower when worn)
