    A note for anyone else lusting after the Edie bag shown, though–I’d snagged this at exactly the price you posted, and was deeply disappointed. The leather–just as all the JCrew reviewer community says–is smooth and fine, but finicky as all get out. Just in shipment, it had managed to acquire to small puncture marks in the main body. And the bag was a little underwhelming in person.

    I returned it–I need bags that can still look good after taking a beating. :(
