Skirts and Stripes

Bebe-silk-1

For fans of the silk Equipment Brett blouse from this post, here’s an option from Bebe at over half the price and more sizing options. I love this color way, because the airy fabric makes it spring and summer appropriate, while the colors will be absolutely perfect for fall.

For those who find Equipment size xs to be a little too roomy, the Bebe size xxs is cut slimmer, but with similar shoulder and length measurements.

That nail polish color always looks prettier on my computer monitor than it does in the bottle.  Maybe I’ll just have to get it and see how it looks on my nails!

It’s a little watery and needs a good 2-3 coats, but once it’s on, it looks great and lots of people ask me about it. =)

    Love the shirt!

This shirt is definitely a good alternative to the
Equipment shirt.  I know I already said it but I will say it again. You look good in skirt. I’m the weather is finally warm enough for you to wear skirt.

Thanks Ying! I’m so glad we saw a break from that awful gloomy weather! Skirt time! =)

I love that your photos keep getting better and better! The shirt looks like it drapes very nicely. It looks great paired with the black skirt!

Thanks Jessy…I have to thank my awesome photographer for that! To answer your question on Twitter…it’s a t3i.

Great shirt!  Nicely paired with the skirt!

Could you do please do a post on  how you’re caring for these silk blouses?  I handwashed my Equipment Meredyth blouse and it shrunk.  Now it fits perfectly, but I’m hoping this won’t happen the next time I wash it!  Thanks!

Glad your shirt fits perfect now! Not really blog post worthy…I just dry clean them. Especially since there are two colors on these shirts, I don’t want to risk the colors running if I hand wash, so dry cleaning is the safer bet for me.

Thanks for finding this! I just couldn’t pull the trigger on some of the Equipment prices, but this is a great alternative…

I love your pictures.  Which camera are you using if you don’t mind that I ask?

      Thanks! I’m using a Canon Rebel T3i.

Omg… I can’t believe that Bebe has similar blouse as the pricey Equipment blouse… Big thank you for letting us know : ) You the best!

That Bebe blouse is really gorgeous – and a great price.  They sold out of xs at my local Bebes in LA so I could not try it on, and i’d like to order it online but I’m on the fence about getting an xs or an xxs – I have a 33-33.5 inch chest measurement which is between sizes on their size chart. Do you feel that the fit of the xxs would be roomy enough for me? I have fairly skinny arms and narrow shoulders, so it is only the chest area  of the blouse I am concerned about.

Hi! I just measured my size xxs and from armpit to armpit laying flat it measures 16.5 inches, which will fit a 33 inch bust, but will not stretch further.  Sounds like the xs is the way to go for you.

      • BKLYNGIRL

Thanks for your help- I just ordered it!
