This weekend was going to be a rainy one, so I soaked in the sun while I could. I also wore a few items that would be just impractical once the rainy weather set in. Fabric covered shoes that would soak up rain water…check. A cheapie necklace that will probably turn all green and icky if it gets wet…check.
The necklace is a recent steal from Loehmann’s. I remember being drawn to it a few months ago, but the price tag was still a little steep for me, considering it wasn’t real silver. The other day, there it was, on sale, hanging on the “extra 50% off” rack for a grand total of $7. The detail is really beautiful, in a strange kind of way. Even though it’s a big statement piece, it’s made of so many smaller parts that it’s almost delicate.

Between this piece and the BCBG Collar Necklace, it’s seems I’m in an experimental phase with my jewelry. I’m going bigger, tougher, and statement making.
“Okay, all that back-lighting and bokeh stuff is pretty and all, but what does that get-up really look like?”
Outfit Details: Ann Taylor dress shirt, size 00P :: 7 for All Mankind jeggings, size 24 :: Manolo Blahnik shoes, size 34.5 :: Ann Taylor belt, size xs :: Punch necklace :: Sterling silver bangles & ball bracelet
Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!
Notes on this post: 1. People say I look tall in my photos, which is pretty much only because no one average sized is standing next to me, and crafty camera angles. I feel like I look short in the first photo, and by short, I mean close to my real height. What do you think? 2. The close-up shot of the necklace was taken on my iPhone. I’m amazed at what nice photos that thing can take!
