by AlterationsNeeded on September 13, 2011

Ann Taylor Fall Fashion Event

Here we go! These are the kind of discounts I like to see!

Starting today through Sept. 18th, get 40% off everything at Ann Taylor, and free shipping on $150 or more. My picks are the Knit Slim Pants which I’m loving more and more, the Perfect Long Sleeve Shirt which needs a minor slimming on someone my size, but fits well in the shoulder and sleeve (nice and slim!), and of course the Perfect Pumps, which are beautiful, and I would stock up on if only they fit a smidgen smaller.

Happy shopping, and be sure to share any great petite finds in the comments!

There are no more size 0p and 00p slim knit pants! :’( WAHH!!

I know!! I saw a pair in store the other day, so if you’re really itching to pick them up, give Ann Taylor customer service a call and have them do a store search for you. I’d suggest the black, since I saw the grey in person, and they kinda look like sweat pants. :P

Hi Amy! I just did a huge search for stackable coupon codes and couldn’t find a single one. If I find one, I’ll post it here.

thanks. I searched without result too. So I just placed my order.

I do not recommend the knit slim pant in graphite heather. It does look like sweat pants. I love the black color. Very flattering in flats and heels.

Totally agreed! I saw it in store in regular sizes (they didn’t have it in petite) in the heather gray and it was not very nice. I even held it up to a pair of sweat-pant-like pants and the fabric looked almost exactly the same. The black is MUCH nicer!

Not sure if the AT Lucia suede wedges were of interest for you, but when I tried them on (ordered 5.5 since that is what I wear in the perfect pump), they were too snug!  Perhaps the 5 will fit you?

Aww I love those knit slim pants too! Wish they still had my size :( BTW – you might want to change your blogger profile to just link to your blog as well since I know that I click on it to find blogs to comment back and probably others do too! :)

Thanks for the Blogger profile tip! I think I tried that once & Blogger gave me an error, but I’ll try again. :)

Just looked at this sale. During and just after college I dressed WAY older than my age and more dressy than necessary for my job as a producer: suits all the time! Now that I am at home with my small kids and living far from my native California in Quebec, I don’t dress up much, but like to buy suit jackets to wear with my jeans and ever-versatile knit tops and sweaers. I am SO disappointed in AT’s quality now! Most all the dresses and suits are made with poly and rayon, whereas they used to be made with mostly wool or 100% wool (or for the rayon knits, the more costly alternative used to be silk jersey or wool jersey, which look so much nicer). I find the tri-blend type knit purchased here, at Banana Republic, and other stores pill on the first wear and become unwearable after less than a season, even when washing by hand in Woolite. I guess retailers figure that if everyone else lowers their quality as well, customers will keep shopping, because there won’t be that many quality alternatives. Do you girls find that the quality is way down everywhere as well? Normally my list for a sale like this would have me spending over $1K (which I used to do often on my measly just-graduated and working three jobs salary–way too many credit cards!) but I find that due to the lesser quality of the fabrics I’m lucky if I find $250 of merchandise I want to buy!
