Banana Republic – The Mad Men Collection is out! Luckily, most items are released in petite sizes, except a few, like my personal favorite…tie neck top. The above items are those offered in petites, so click the images for product info (*update* – I’m not sure why, but the BR website isn’t cooperating and all links are going to the BR homepage…sorry! I’m trying to figure it out). And check out Sydney’s rundown of fitting room pics of a few items, but note…these are regular sizes, not petite!

Ann Taylor – New items marked down and extra 50% off sale. Shop the sale.

LOFT –  Buy one full-priced sweater, get one 50% off. Shop petite sweaters. A few petites have found this little Two-For dress perfect right off the rack, as seen on FitReview.com and the Alterations Needed Forum.

Banana Republic Factory – 1/2 off all denim and extra 10% off $100 or more with this coupon.

Have you missed Liane of PetiteXXS as much as I have? Find out why she’s been MIA (so exciting!) :)

As a petite, I often have to “make it work” when it comes to clothes that are just a little off. Sal of Already Pretty gives some tips for this very thing.

This one is just a rumor, but Michelle overheard some Ann Taylor sales associates talking about shipping to Canada!

There are a lot of new bloggers who would benefit from reading this post from Grit and Glamour about working with brands.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thank you for linking to Liane’s post! I am out of town right now, and am trying to get some time on my husband’s computer whenever I can!  So through all my quick scrolls, I missed her update!

We went to Seattle with family.  I got a little bit of shopping in, but I did not make it to BR to see the Mad Men collection!

Thank you for the shout out, Kelly. The collection is in deed very disappointed. I am looking forward to see how the items fit on Elaine and Elle. Have a great weekend!

I went to a BR store yesterday and spent an hour trying on the entire women’s Mad Men collection (the only pieces I did not look at were the leopard accessories and the houndstooth dress, which was sold out in my size).I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, because I usually try on 20 things and only emerge with one or two purchases. I didn’t end up getting any of the dresses (my figure is too straight/boyish and not hourglass enough for any of them to be sufficiently flattering), but I liked them. Also, I felt that the dresses were a little too sexy/lacy/form-fitting for work, yet too buttoned-up and work-like for wearing outside of work. So I passed on those for fit and style, but the fabric quality and prints were nice. And I bought the suit! Which fits me in a tailored and fabulous way! The skirt is not online currently, for some reason, but is in the stores. So, don’t judge until you try something on for yourself! Bodies are different.  For reference, I am 5’2″, 110 pounds, and slightly long-waisted.
