Petite Weekend Guide: 1/7/11

Shop:

Luckily for all of you still in an after holidays shopping haze, there’s not too many sales of note this week to drag yourself out of bed for.

Ann Taylor – Buy one item, get one 50% off (sale or full price) with code PRIVATE and free shipping on $150+. The cardigan that won my petite cashmere smack down is now on sale for $119.99. You could buy two, get one for 50% off ($60) (does anyone know if AT adjusts the discount if you return the full price one?). Or maybe a pair of long cashmere gloves for $10 after the discount? These short cashmere gloves in lots of colors are only $20 after the discount. So many choices!

LOFT – 30% off full price styles with code EXCLUSIVE, and 40% off sale items. Free shipping on $125+.

Outlets - Winter clearance sales are currently underway.

Duo Boots - Winter Sale. Up to 50% off boots.

Petite and busty?

Does anyone know if these LOFT pants are lined?

I added a few brand new items to the Marketplace!

Alas, Ann Taylor is onto that particular "I'll just return this" scam – they pro-rate the discount if you return the other item. Like I think you will only be refunded the half-price. But maybe someone here has more experience with working the system?

@Alison – Bummer! I haven't noticed that before. I hope someone else with experience on the matter will chime in.

No, they don't adjust or pro-rate the discount, especially if you purchase the items online. I've return a few full price items before, and they never said anything about the price or asked if I bought the clothes with a promotion code.

This year is so odd. All the great sales happened BEFORE Christmas rather than AFTER which I guess is good for my wallet now. :)

I mis-read the Ann Taylor code as "Pirate" and now I'm imagining swashbuckling plunders in beaded twin sets.

I returned one of the BOGO 50% off items from Ann Taylor and they refunded me the full price for that item. Although that was an awesome score for me, I actually felt bad because the second shirt ended up being such a steal! I wouldn't have minded a pro-rated price.
