Vicky shows us how she shrank her J.Crew Cashmere cardigan. After seeing this, I’m going to take this advice, keep the gold J.Crew cardigan, and attempt to shrink it! Wish me luck!

Congrats on the magazine mention! I'm definitely going to pick up this issue for the weekend. And by the way, J. Crew is now up to 40% sale items! I don't know how I'm going to resist this time around (although a lot of things are final sale)…

  • Petite Mom

So exciting!! Congratulations! I haven't had a chance to read InStyle yet so now it's going to the top of my magazine pile.

  • kileen

Congrats! I recently received a subscription to InStyle as a gift, and I'm really looking forward to seeing this article when the Feb issue comes in the mail.

    Congrats on the article.

RE sweater shrinking, just be careful not to felt it. Or over shrink. Also, washing it in warm and laying flat to dry will let you shape the sweater (aka block it http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter02/FEATdiyknitter.html)

  • A.Li

Congrats! Thank you for writing this blog.

  • Cee

Congratulations, Kelly! Like I told Jean, you are so deserving. Have a nice weekend!

    @R.L. – Oh man…40% off…now I'm tempted to pick up a few more things…must…resist!

@Anonymous – Thanks for the shrinking tip and article! I want to be EXTRA careful with this sweater!

Congrats to you girls! You have definitely made me so much more aware of how things fit and how to dress my body type. You've done a lot for the petite community!

  • Miss. Studios

Huge Congrats!!! I think you guys deserve a mention. I will check them out for sure!

  • Christina

Congrats! A recognition in a printed magazine is not an easy feat!!!

As the petite community grows, hopefully vanity sizing will wane. In the past, there wasn't such an issue with needing a separate "petite" line. The stores that I shopped at in high school weren't "kids" lines. I never had to hem my jeans that I bought from F21, Macy's, or Nordstrom's. Nowadays, it's nearly impossible to find jeans that fit length and width-wise, unless you're wearing them with sky-high heels.

I was actually in the hair salon when I saw this article featuring your blog. I was so happy! Because I'm only 4'11 and have a hard time finding things that fit my body properly. I'll hooked now. You have an incredible sense of style albeit expensive, but very classy and stylish.
