AN’s Two Year Blogiversary!

My boyfriend is soooo lucky, because apparently, I’m the one who forgets anniversaries! So, sorry little blog, I missed our official anniversary by two weeks, but it’s the thought that counts, right? Right?!

So, to make it up to the blog, here is a post celebrating the last two years of Alterations Needed. =)

It all started on September 3, 2008 with a little post I like to call “Introduction“. I was terrified to press that publish button, because it meant anyone in the world could find my little creation, and I was scared no one would like it, or worse, call it stupid.

And then it sat, with no one caring about my little blog, all by itself until someone left AN it’s very first comment! Exactly 1 month and 10 days later! Petite fashion blogging was so lonely back then…

I was excited when Banana Republic posted size 000P on their size chart, and then sadly disappointed when customer service said it was no more.

Then, on October 18, 2009…another petite joined the party…

I’m sure you all know who this is. =)

This was the post that got me linked on Jezebel (and I totally freaked out)

I got a DSLR camera, and did my first outfit post! Thank goodness my photography skills have improved since then.

Then, on February 11, 2010, after months of contemplating, and weeks of near emotional breakdowns (Note to self: building a website with no formal training is really hard), the Alterations Needed Forum was launched!

I decided to come out of anonymous blogger hiding for my birthday.

And, last but not least, the Marketplace opened on the Alterations Needed Forum!

I remember stumbling upon your blog for the first time and it was like finding a kindred soul (size-wise anyway!)… I immediately went back and read through all your archives and have been hooked since! You've always sort of like the "mothership" for all the petite bloggers, especially with the Forum and Marketplace. Keep up the great work and thanks for being the inspiration for us all! :)

    Congratulations on the anniversary! I am frequent reader of your posts and I really love your blog. I have learned a lot from you about styling and how to tell when cloths do NOT fit, it's unbelievable. I finally brought 3 pairs of pants, which had been sitting in my closet unworn for two years, to the tailor, because I finally realized that the reason I didn't like them is because they were just too big. Now, I have 3 "new" pairs of beautiful pants, thanks to you!
    On a another note, I want to apologize for always commenting anonymously, but I am a University professor and I don't want students or colleagues to recognize me. :-)
