Birthday Outfit…

I got a request for my birthday outfit…so I had to oblige:

Cardigan: LOFT ribbon placket trim cardigan, size XXSP
Shirt: H&M t-shirt, size XS
Skirt: 3.1 Philip Lim silk skirt, size 0
Shoes: Cole Haan Carma pump in gray suede, size 5 (similar from AT) (similar from Cole Haan)
Belt: Vintage

I changed into my Paige skinny jeans a little later in the day. Thank you for all the birthday wishes last week!

  • Initially I thought your skirt was made out of velvet because of the nice draping in the front but it is silk! Score! I always find that silk can just lie there, like a board, with no dimensional element to it.

  • Love your outfit! Everything about that skirt is perfection: the drapes and the color! Also, just wanted to comment that you girls and your use of skinny belts over cardigans has really got me thinking I need to try this look.

Love that you paired it with grey pumps. You were right, I've been wearing mine every chance I get.

  • Hanna – When silk just sits there, it kinda defeats the purpose of silk doesn't it? I love the ruffle drape of this skirt. It's so interesting.

curls and pearls – I took the day off work, had lunch with my mom, grandma and niece, and then did some shopping. I didn't get anything, but it was still fun to take the day off work and window shop. =)

Mich LA – I knew you'd wear them all the time! They go with literally everything.

Sohia and PetiteXXS – Thanks ladies!

  • Very pretty! I love the skirt and its draping.

Oh – and that is one of my fave cardigans :-) A little itchy, but fits so nicely.

  • Thanks Bianca! I did see you have this one too. I get loads of compliments on it every time I wear it. =)

  • I love the Philip Lim skirt you are wearing…I think I remember seeing it some time back and the texture looks so different in the new pictures. I like how you styled this outfit a lot.

  • Thanks Bianca! I did see you have this one too. I get loads of compliments on it every time I wear it. =)
