I just checked out the AT pumps and what a total bummer. I desperately need new black pumps :(

So I had a spark of motivation and decided to call Ann Taylor to track down some pumps in 5 or 5.5 (thinking that there would surely be a customer return somewhere in the country). After all, Ann Taylor ships from store to door (for $8 I think).

Sadly, I learned that customer returns at brick and mortar stores are NOT re-entered into the inventory system, so even if a store had returns in small-sizes, there would be no way to locate them. How inefficient (unlike stores like Bloomies)!

I think it depends with AT, I have talked with a customer service lady once and she promised me she would find an item even though it was sold out and two weeks later voila it was at my door step, but most other times when I relayed this incident to ann taylor customer service reps they told me it could not be done!
